The Library and the Archive

The Collezione Maramotti’s birth and development have been accompanied by the constant acquisition of materials referring to the majority of artists and artistic movements on display in the Collection, documenting an important historical and critical reference.
The Library and Archive comprise more than ten thousand books and documents pertaining to different areas of reference: the historical collection belonging to Achille Maramotti and Mario Diacono, scholar, gallery owner and art critic, who had a close intellectual relationship with the collector for more than thirty years; and the area started by the Collezione since its opening in 2007, which is constantly expanding through new acquisitions.
All of this material has been gathered together in the ground-floor library; access to the archive and consultation of its bibliographical and documentary resources will be open to scholars and researchers, on the basis of the approval of their individual requests.
